“Working with Dan Policar on Empire of Sin was an absolute pleasure. His music brought depth, style, and emotional resonance to the world we were building. Dan has the ability to understand the heart of a game and translate it into a unique soundscape that elevates every moment. We asked for 1920s meets heavy metal, and Dan absolutely delivered. He’s collaborative, thoughtful, and understands games. I’d work with him again in a heartbeat.”
“Dan is not only a fantastic retro game composer, he’s an amazing collaborator. He brought authentic Roland MT-32 sound to The Crimson Diamond and composed truly period-accurate game music to complement its retro look and feel. We livestreamed our work sessions on Twitch, where Dan demonstrated his skill, speed, and versatility when it came to receiving feedback not only from me, but our viewers. I couldn’t imagine a soundtrack more perfectly suited to my game than what Dan produced. I hope to work with him again in the future!”
“I worked very closely with Dan on Empire of Sin’s audio, and it was such a great experience. Dan, being a major game player and collector, completely understands video game music. His work on the city underscores, and the different tracks for the various rackets matched the time period perfectly and sounded great. He’s easy to collaborate with and has a ton of great ideas all the time. I’d definitely work with him again, and so should you.”
"Our current videogame project, Summer Daze: Ifeyo’s Adventure, stars a young black man with roots in central Africa. We needed a composer who could bring the game to life with a challenging variety of Reggae and other world music. Dan Policar took on the challenge and smashed it! He is a joy to work with, and always willing to adapt his musical ideas to the needs of the game. Dan is also humble; we didn’t find out that we were working with an international-touring, Grammy-nominated artist until months into the project. Despite his busy touring schedule, Dan continues to find the time to deliver excellent music, and to stay in regular communication with us and our team."
